Janet qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1987. She set up practice in Winscombe after graduating and also held assistantships in London, Taunton and Minehead from 1987-1995. She became full-time in Winscombe in 1995.
She has been involved with the regional Western Counties Association of Osteopaths since graduating, was secretary and then chairman from 1989-1992. She held office in the PIC (Preliminary Investigation Committee) for ethics with The General Council and Register of Osteopaths.
She was voted onto the OAGB (Osteopathic Association of Great Britain) council in 1992 (now the British Osteopathic Association) and onto the Finance and General Purposes committee in 1994. She took over as Convention Organiser for the association in 1996-2001 and was Honorary Treasurer from 1998-2001.
She lives in Winscombe with her husband Robert. They are both keen gardeners and enjoy walking The Mendips with their dog Tess.
